Week 8 (10/21 - 10/25)

HIGHLIGHTS
Mass printing and Halloween

This week was especially busy for the Creative Services department because work requests have dramatically increased with Neuroscience 2013 only three weeks away. My main task was to get work requests printed and packaged ready for shipping to San Diego (programs, tabletop signs, flyers, signages etc.) On a lighter note, SfN had a pumpkin carving contest in the lobby and free candy in celebration for Halloween.

Week 6 (10/7 - 10/11)

HIGHLIGHTS
Received Copies of 2014 Media Kit and Presidential Reception Invitation

Received final physical copies of the 2014 Media Kit and Presidential Reception Invitation as personal keepsake. I started designing both projects in late May, they were sent to printer in September and I finally got to see the finished product this week. Through these projects, particularly the Media Kit, I've learned a lot about managing multiple changes to the project and the stress that comes with that. For example: 1.  the given copy was not vetted and were constantly changing 2. any changes made must be reviewed by ALL reviewers and clients (Creative Services Manager, Membership & Marketing Director, Sales & Marketing Manager etc.) therefore delaying the approval process immensely, The 2014 Media Kit was quite a project because it is the first Media Kit to have SfN's new branding be applied to, thus there was no template to work off on. Though at times it was quite exhausting to work on the Media Kit, the final product is an appropriate balance of my own initial design and the client's vision.
